Welcome to the Learning Management System for Capita Selecta on Linguistics
Capita Selecta on Linguistics is a course offered in the second semester. This four-credit course requires reading and practicing a lot. This course is designed to improve clarity, accuracy, and understanding of spoken English through study of pronunciation. Students are expected to gain knowledge about the analysis of speech sounds (phonetics and phonology), and the analysis of the internal structure of words (morphology).

Reading and Writing for Career Development Course
The reading and writing for career development course provides students with materials and activities that could enhance students’ English for Specific Purposes (ESP) skills. Students are trained to use English in their academic and future working lives.
Upon completion of this course, students are expected to be able to use English to develop their future career. Specifically, by the end of the course, students are expected to be able to: (a) communicate their ideas in the form of business letters and emails, (b) compose a convincing application letter, (c) design a neat CV using Canva, (d) compose a personal statement.
