ENGLISH FOR TOURISM
This course is an optional course worth 2 credits that is offered every semester. This course provides students with the experience to teach English language skills in tourism contexts. The topics explained in this course covers English words used in transportation, travel agents, and accommodation contexts, as well as understanding the profession of tour guide.
Teaching English to Young Learners 2023-2024
English for Young Learners (KP 376) is a 2-credit elective course offered to students of English Language Education Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Through English for Young Learners course, students are expected to have knowledge and theories in teaching English to young learners as well as to be able to apply them in a practical context.

Course Description
Interpreting course is a 2 credit course which aims to develop students' knowledge and skills in interpreting. At the end of the course, students are expected to have a good knowledge of interpreting and be able to perform interpreting properly. It prepares the students to have competitive skills of interpreting which is beneficial for them to develop their career especially related to the language skills they learned. The topics of the courses involve knowledge of consecutive, simultaneous, and community interpreting. The students also learn to develop the skills of interpreting.

This course enables students to translate English Texts into Indonesian and Indonesian Texts into English.
